This is the artist's just finished 3D model of his own version of Gandalf the Grey, from Tolkien's works. Many people read the books and formed their own mental images of the characters before versions of films came out. The artist had many different versions to refer to while creating the wizard, so bits of this and that were borrowed, while he tried to create the facial characteristics based on his own original conception.
