Description
It is often said that a painting is never done, and true regarding this artwork. David altered the structure after having discovered the more original, apostolic understanding of it, in other words, the Orthodox view of Christianity, preserved since the beginning of Christianity. The mission of Jesus Christ was to die and destroy, or harrow, Hades, freeing those captives of Satan from eternal death, healing them from the effects of sin, letting them return to their creator in heaven, reversing the effects of the fall of Adam and Eve.
Digital painting that is in a way fan art and a Christian version parody of the original Star Wars movie poster. Instead of Darth Vader is the head of the risen Christ. In place of the Death Star is the death of death, which is now eternal life, represented by an opening in space where God's eternal light now shines. Christ destroyed or harrowed Hades through his death and resurrection. Tie fighters were replaced with fiery sword-wielding angels, who show the pathway to eternal life to us, as God has reclaimed those who belong to Him, we who are made in His image. Sci-fi materialistic spires are replaced with crosses that are the symbol of our transformation from death to life. Biblical symbols: Noah's Ark, pyramid and Adam and Eve, Luke replaced with Moses, his light saber with the Ten Commandments, C-3PO with David, R2D2 with the Three Wise Men and Star of David, and red rock with hell, the gates of which were destroyed by Christ who rescued humanity, and Satan and the serpent who were ultimately defeated.

David has always been good at sketching exactly what he sees and as faithfully as possible, that is, if he can see it first, this has become his ADVENTURE, once he helps that subject become reality, he finds something else he has not created before, something that he yearns to paint. For David, style and technique are secondary in importance to the subject, making them transparent, so the subject can form completely as it should without him interjecting his own personality. The joy of creating, the love of the Creator and appreciation of Creation itself is what drives this whole process, more than anything else. Starting with an idea, a concept, he starts sketching, imagining, studying, creating the subject and composition, then develops the idea into his painting. The adventure of creation is not about David, it is about letting the creation come into existence, and his sole goal as an artist is to experience the joy of creating something fun or enjoyable, and to be able to share those creation experiences with all others.
