Designated as the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards Air Force Base, California, the base is well known as the place where many concepts have been tested before production. It educates test pilots, and is situated next to the Rogers Dry Lake which provides a natural extension to the base's runways, which provides a great place for testing aircraft. Some of the aircraft shown in this painting are the F-107, Valkarie, X3, S24B, X29, X38, X48B, YF4, FY23 and B47.
