Artist's Description
An F-111 Aardvark with swept back wings in afterburn. The aircraft is a Mesh Factory creation, rendered in Keyshot over a background created with Vue. The render was then repainted on the Galaxy Tab A with S Pen and Autodesk SketchBook Pro Mobile. The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark is a retired supersonic, medium-range, multirole combat aircraft, and named after the similarity it had to the long nose animal, with low-level, terrain-following capabilities. The F-111 pioneered variable-sweep wings, afterburning turbofan engines and automated terrain-following radar for low-level, high-speed flight. It was cancelled and retired in the 1990s and replaced with the F-15 Strike Eagle.
